Tour Itinerary Highlights: (we will take into account the visitor's preferences when determining the time to spend at one location, below for reference only) After pick up from your hotel or accomodation, we'll first go pleasure boating on the Erhai Lake. See the beautiful reflection of the snow-clad Cangshan Mount in the crystal clear water of the lake (extremely famous scene poetically named "Silver Cangshan and Jade Erhai"). You will have the opportunity to indulge in some elaborate Bai three-course tea ceremony, and appreciate the wonderful song and dance performance by the locals. Next we will move on to the Butterfly Spring Park. The park is shaded by hundreds of hundred-year old trees, the most famous of which reaches over gently over the same named Butterfly Spring. When the flowers blossom, their intoxicating fragrance draw countless butterflies to the spring, creating a spectacular scene where flapping wings of the butterflies are often mistaken for the swaying petals. There is even a romantic tradition associated with it: every year around this time (April 15th), the local Bai youths will gather around the spring promising their hearts to their special someones. We'll pay a visit to the Three Pagoda Temple - considered one of the three curiosities of Chinese ancient architecture. Inside are countless sculptures/statues of Buddha made of gold, silver, wood or crystal. And who can leave Dali without a stop at Dali Ancient Town with its distinctive Bai folk houses built in extreme closer quarters to each other. If you are looking to get a souvenir for yourself this would be the ideal place. Look for the hand-made merchandises laid out by the local people on the streetside in the marketplaces. - Transporation included.
